OpenMacrotm is a framework to efficiently develop and deploy rich internet applications based on Flashtm. Unlike Flextm (of MacroMedia), OpenMacrotm doesn’t require any presentation layer server. The OpenMacrotm Framework is designed to seamlessly integrate MacroMediatm as well as other ThirdParty Flashtm components.

The basic description of UI and behaviour is given in xml like syntax, which can also be generated from a plugin Library. Plugin Libraries for PHP & JSP are already available.
We plan to release an open version by Feb 1st. Currently, seamless integration with third party components and custom animations is being tested out.
A browser based interface designer tool is also under development with help of which the major cumbersome part of interface design will become a snap job.
OpenMacrotm API and other necessary documentation will be released in Feb 1st Week. With the rush for Ajax style programming in creating web applications, the unstable and complex libraries have become hurdles in its push. However the OpenMacrotm approach would solve that out by creating a platform to combine the best of programming and design solutions in a cheap and efficient manner.
OpenMacrotm has very less memory trace on the server and client, in our tests it has proved to be upto 80% faster than other alternatives like Flextm and OpenLaszlotm technologies at the same time achieving high quality graphical interfaces.
